SDCC 2026 Badge & Registration Guide

Everything you need to know about badges, registration, sale timing, price expectations, mail vs. pick-up, and signing-in at the convention center.

On this page

In true convention fashion, Comic-Con sells badges, not generic "tickets". Your badge is automatcally linked to the number of days you are attending and provides access to all things happening in the convention center along with a few adjacent ballrooms. Demand far exceeds supply, with Friday and Saturday being the most popular days to attend.

Step 1: Get a Comic-Con Member ID

Everyone (ages 13 and up) needs a Member ID before sale day. Register for an account here .

Returning Registration

A set amount of badges are released for anyone who purchased a Comic-Con 2025 attendee badge (and did not request a refund). The SDCC 2026 Returning Registration sale took place on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 9:00 AM Pacific Time.

Open Registration

The rest of available badges are released to anyone with a Comic-Con Member ID roughly 4-6 weeks after the Returning Registration sale. Badges for SDCC 2026 went on sale Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 9:00 AM Pacific Time.

Juniors, military, and senior pricing must be verified with a valid Comic-Con Member ID. See the Member ID page for more information.

Up to two qualifying children may register per paying adult onsite; pick up free child badges in Sails Pavilion with the adult purchaser.

Check the Official child-badge policy page for the cutoff date and more information.

Younger than CCI's published cutoff → free child badge when rules are met. At or older than the cutoff → Junior or Adult with Member ID.

  • Waiting room opens 8:00 AM PT; join before 9:00 AM PT lock.
  • After lock, CCI assigns randomized order—you may enter a timed buying session if picked.
  • Checkout window is short—cart doesn’t reserve inventory until paid.
  • Room entry ≠ badge; multiple browsers can help redundancy.

Each buyer can typically cover up to three people (self + two). Trusted friends queue together; whoever gets through first buys for others with their Member IDs handy. Make sure to have:

  • Member IDs + last names ready
  • Stable connection and payment method
  • Teams you trust financially

One reseller in a pooled group can void the whole cohort—CCI is strict about resale.

CCI publishes a cutoff to confirm your mailing address for advance shipping a few weeks before the convention. Otherwise, plan for pick-up in Sails Pavilion below.

If you’re not mailed a badge or it doesn't arrive, pick up personally in Sails Pavilion.
