Hotels: Booking Your Stay

Finding a hotel for SDCC is a serious quest! This is your best bet at scoring a hotel room close to the action or a part of the complimentary Comic-Con shuttle service. Comic-Con partners with onPeak to run three separate hotel sales with reduced rates across Downtown San Diego, Mission Valley, Harbor Island, and Shelter Island:

  • 1
Early Bird Hotel Sale: This is a first-come, first-served sale which includes hotels in the Mission Valley and Airport areas. Reservations are full prepay and non-refundable.
  • 2
Downtown Hotel Sale (aka 'Hotelpocalypse'): The most chaotic of the three, this randomized sale covers all hotels closest to the Convention Center. If you get a room, you'll receive an email with booking instructions and a window to submit a deposit.
  • 3
General Housing: This sale includes all remaining rooms within Comic-Con's exclusive hotel block, first-come, first-served.

  • Fill out the onPeak form ranking your top hotels.
  • Faster submissions get priority—prepare your picks in advance! Some people prep by creating a ranked list with details like shuttle access, walkability, and rates.
  • If selected, you'll get a time-limited offer to book a hotel.
  • Official hotels: $250–$450/night (discounted), with shuttle service or within walking distance.
  • Popular: Hilton Bayfront, Marriott Marquis, Hard Rock, Omni, Pendry.

Tip: Join hotel Facebook groups or Discords for room swaps, backups, and late cancellations!
