The basics
At its core, an exclusive is a limited-edition item only available at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). Think action figures, Funko Pops, enamel pins, comic variants, LEGO mini-figs, and more — many created just for the event.
These items can be:
💎 True Exclusives – Only available at SDCC and never sold again.
🌀 Pre-Releases – You can get them first at SDCC, but they’ll be widely available later.
🏷️ Variant Editions – Alternate colors, packaging, or designs sold only at the con.
The SDCC community loves to debate what counts as a “real” exclusive. Is it still exclusive if it shows up online a week later? What if it’s just an early ship date or different packaging? Some fans only consider items that never reappear elsewhere to be “true” exclusives — others are just happy to get early access.
At the end of the day, it’s about the experience. Whether you’re in line at Booth #2643 or winning a drop online, the thrill is real.
Due to high demand (and limited booth space), many exclusives now require winning access through Comic-Con’s Online Exclusives Portal.
Here’s how it works:
CCI opens a lottery on July 7, 2025, on your Member ID account.
You select the exclusives you want to enter for (Funko, LEGO, Hasbro, etc.).
Winners are notified and get a time slot to make their purchase during the con.
No lottery win? Don’t worry — some exclusives are still available first-come, first-served on the floor or via partner websites after SDCC wraps.
